Miriam Körner is originally from Germany, and fell in love with Northern Saskatchewan one brutally cold winter morning when she lost her dog team on Bigstone Lake – and shortly after, with the man who rescued her team. Miriam is the author of two award-winning YA novels and co-author and illustrator of five picture books. Her latest picture book Fox and Bear is an environmental fable for all ages and the illustrations were made out of reused cardboard and tree-free paper.
